The Mathematic Text Book

The first project achieved by the association was the printing and expedition of 1,500 copies of a mathematic text book for elementary school with English and Amaric text, the only one existing in Wolayta, Soddo’s region.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Generator

Since the end of June 2009 the new generator Iveco 60kw has been working. It was bought with private donations.
The generator is very important for the Centre because electricity is very rarely available in Soddo. Beyond lighting, it also guarantees the functioning of the pump that pulls water from the well.

 

 

 

Wells

We dug a new well (which is the second one that we built) to achieve water self-sufficiency and to give access to safe water to people living in the nearby.

Library

We weekly send books in English to build a Library following the famous quote by Marguerite Yourcenar: Setting up libraries is like building public granaries, storing up reserves for a hibernation of the mind which, despite myself, I see many signs of its approach

 

Illustrated Dictionary English – Amharic

We printed and sent 2000 illustrated dictionaries to the Konto School for young girls.

 

Konto School

In 2011 we started working with the Konto School for young girls - directed by Antonio Striuli e Aklilù Petros - incurring expenses for staff salaries and supporting economically the completion of sport facilities.
