Charity evening with Mediolanum

On Thursday June 11th, at Palmi Giardini, we hosted a special evening dedicated to the children of Busajo Campus in Ethiopia, with concrete goal: to raise funds for an electric bajaji – a small, three-wheeled vehicle – that will allow the children to reach school even during the rainy season and to deal with the most urgent emergencies.

It has been a wonderful evening, filled with joy and a strong sense of belonging to a common cause. The initiative exceeded all expectations: thanks to the generosity of the participants, approximately € 11,000 was raised, which, combined with the € 5,000 donated by the Mediolanum Foundation, brought to the total of € 16,000.

This amount will not only cover the purchase of the electric bajaji, but also of an electric motorbike, that will facilitate the work of the educators in their activities in villages of origin pf the children.

The initiative was made possible thanks to the support of: David Palmi, who provided his beautiful space; Enic, which donated catering by Guido Guidi for 50 people, 1 hostess and 1 steward and a sound system provided by Scot.

A small charity auction was held during the evening thanks to the donations of some Busajo supporters: Pietro Frisani, Emanuela Pacchiani, Marina Calamai, Beatrice Contini Bonacossi, Blanc Mariclò, Marco Paoli, Verderoccia, Ilaria Castellino, and Gianfranco Pampaloni.

A heartfelt thank you to Neri Marcoré for recommending Busajo NGO to the Mediolanum Foundation, and to Giulia Moretti (Head of Fundraising at the Mediolanum Foundation), Gianna Buraschi (Mediolanum Senior Banker Values Manager), and Marina Polillo for their support and presence.

Finally, we wish to thank all the participants: together, once again, we proved that solidarity can truly make a difference.
