GIRLS PROJECT
Our organization is the only one in the Southern States region of Ethiopia to welcome girls and young women, who require special attention and care. Coming from situations of poverty, illiteracy and vulnerability, many have experienced abuse, early marriage, or are at risk of exploitation.
The project hosts approximately 30 young women in the Girls House, offers education, training, and psychological support to guide them toward freedom and independence.
Our intervention also includes family counselling, microcredit for mothers, legal and healthcare assistance, and support for social and employment reintegration.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH
We offer medical checkups for disease diagnosis, immediate treatment and the initiation of psychological recovery.
PERSONAL CARE
We teach the girls basic hygiene rules for personal and household care, to restore their health and dignity.
EDUCATION
The girls are reintegrated into school and supported by our educators to fill gaps and make up for lost years.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
In the workshops, the girls can acquire artisanal skills and learn a trade that will foster their future career independence.
